In 2016 I had the pleasure of connecting with Sriracha Revolver, an independent hot sauce company in Vancouver founded by talented foodie and Indigenous entrepreneur Jordan Hocking. The scope of my work over the years has grown with the company, including art direction, design, illustration, copywriting and product photography. I built the brand with their original 130 ml stubby glass bottles in mind. The logo had to work well on a small custom die-cut label, so I designed a roundel monogram and paired it with a condensed hand-lettered wordmark. In her initial creative brief, Jordan outlined how she wanted to steer the label towards more of a premium tequila look than that of a typical hot sauce. Despite being stocked by numerous outlets, from boutique shops to Whole Foods, Jordan has never strayed from her direct-to-consumer farmer's market roots.
